Dudhwa National Park, located in Uttar Pradesh near the Indo-Nepal border, is a significant biodiversity hotspot and part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. Established in 1977, Dudhwa is ideal for eco-tourism and conservation studies, emphasizing wildlife preservation and habitat protection.
It spans over 490 square kilometers and is home to diverse ecosystems, including grasslands, marshes, and dense forests. The park is renowned for its population of tigers, swamp deer (Barasingha), and over 400 bird species. It also hosts elephants, rhinos (reintroduced), and other wildlife. At natural sites like Dudhwa National Park, facilities may also include wildlife observation towers, eco-cottages, trained guides, and educational centers to promote eco-tourism and conservation awareness.
